I’m an idea person and a small bit scattered. (understatement) Some might like to refer to it as ADHD like, so I tend to have a million projects either in mind or going at the same time which can lead to some very strange half baked results.
Roawenwood Builders Guild is something that I’ve tossed around as an idea on and off. Creators resources. Full permission things and stuff for the builders. I like the idea of lifting and helping businesses do more, do better. I’ve run a successful business in SL for almost 20 years. That’s a long time. I’ve done so much stuff. Built so much stuff, and while the landscape has changed… definitely, it also has some things that have not and some things that are more relative to the platform we all share.
For a long time I felt I needed to make a separate entity to have it so… of course…. it stalled, because Roawenwood all by itself can be a full time job if I let it. Frankly, I just don’t have the time to do all that I want to do…. so, we’re going to consolidate! To a degree. The Builders Guild idea, I’m going to toss things around for it just now I think I’m going to just let that side of me coexist with the other parts. Another offshoot of the Roawenwood. I’m going to share or highlight things as I see fit, create a section here at the Roawenwood site for those things I think and it might be fun to just dig in, do it.
I used to get a lot of questions about, “where did you get this or that” or what have you. Most things sure, you can reverse engineer pretty easily to be honest, and I don’t really want to gatekeep, what’s the point. In some ways if you succeed I succeed because Second Life succeeds. And for people who aren’t interested in that, well, that’s ok too.
Moving forward there will be posts, articles, resources, maybe some maker highlights and things I may contribute like textures. No promises on how often but hey….. you never know right?
Thanks for reading and talk to you soon.
