Chores & Work

Soooo…. how’re you all doing?

It’s busy as usual around my place. Even when I say I’m not doing as much I still am which is kind of funny. Most people who know me think that I’m rather on the insane side. I swear, I’m slowing down and not working as much but they usually do one of those… ‘yea yea… sure.’

I don’t know why they’d think that. *blink blink*

This post will be a bit of a round up of newness from the beginning of this month.

Firstly we have We <3 RP.

Knitting and Sewing Pillow Set TXTAwesomeness abounds with some revisted favorites… some sewing fun.  I get a lot of feedback that my sets and different things like this are really the favorites from my store so we’re going with it with a little more gusto lately getting back to my roots… plus the things I enjoy rather than trying to accommodate for every one else. yay me!

There are two versions as there was before.  A stool and a pillow set.  Obviously the main difference is where you’re sitting. The stool is very cute, has a lot of options to change the color of the cushion and a lot of things to do.

I amp’d up the animations.  You can sew, embroider, sit, relax, have a cup of Knitting and Sewing Stool Set TXTcocoa or some tea.  There’s crocheting, knitting… it even has a few sits in it for the male types if they feel like taking a load off.  See I did try to think of everything, and I suppose you know… guys did sometimes have to sew.  Even if it might have been under duress it DID happen. Along with the cute lil stool you get rugs… two of em, braided and woven.  Then there’s some balls of yarn, a basket with sewing and knitting things in it.  A nice lil set. Use parts or the whole thing all weighing in at 1 to 2 LI.

Then there’s the pillow… you get a slightly modified version of the accessories, the quilt is shaded a lil different under the basket lol but you get the same rugs, balls of yarn and all… instead of the stool you get a…. well pillow.  Texture change for it too though not as many colors.  There are more sits and kneels sort of thing for the pillow so that it can be used for the slave types that need to do chores.  It has less crafty things… sewing, knitting and embroidery and sorry… no cocoa. I suppose I could have dug through and found the crosslegged one I have but I didn’t.

Each of them are out at display for We <3 RP, and each of them are at a 30% discount.

Take a taxi to get there

The second event thing is Twisted Summer RFL sort of benefit.  The people for Twisted hunt do a thing where they raise money for RFL during the summer, Cool right?Av Attach - Sweeping the Floors

Well the stuff I have for over there is a couple of cool things… It was Twisted Fairytales and while I didn’t twist it up too much I created a few pieces.  First since it always seems like there’s a lot of sweeping going on in stories from Cinderella to many other characters I did an av attach broom.  Chore-worthy something you wear and work anywhere. You know how it goes and how I’ve made these things… they’re usually favorites for people that like to be able to do things on their own.

It has 5 animations in it.  Sweeping for men and women, you click it to bring up a menu after wearing it and choose how you want to be. Woot.

Huntsman Camp SetSecondly I revamped up something I made awhile back but has not been available in the store… a camp set, this one is meant for huntsman or miscreants…. either way it works or for whoever. It’s got some good pieces and a real nice defensive perimeter LOL

Both sets are 100% donation to RFL during the event, I added some other vendors with donation set to RFL as well like I usually do.

TP me please, they says as they clicks the lil line in the text.

There’s also a freebie, a 100% freebie at the landing of the main store. But you have to find it. hehehe

I decided to get into a hunt, I know I haven’t been much lately but on occasion and I got to thinking… why not.  I mean really, this is a good way to get people around, and to give them something to do along with having a lil something to go home with.

It’s the Silk Road Hunt, so I made up a simple thing.

Spice baskets meant for a merchant but anyone could use them.

Spice Merchant Baskets - Hunt Gift

If you want them you need to come to the MAIN STORE, and hunt around the landing for the lil pergola thingie, click it and be rewarded. It’s not outside of 30 meters so don’t want too far.

That be about it for now… hope you’re having a great week.

Take care.

We Luv RP Discounts and Newness

Roughed Up Docks Build Set

25L Tues. Discount 5/9-5/10

Before going away for the beginning of the month I did get the We Luv RP stuff out. It was a little bit uncertain for awhile but got quite a few things up there for discount. A new something along with some nice somethings marked down for the month that aren’t in the main store yet but before I get into all of that I’m going to be posting first about the 25L deal for today and tomorrow.

Deeply discounted for Tues. and Wed. because I like to have it straddle the week for those different time zones is my docks set.  It’s something that’s been around for awhile but quite versatile and I don’t believe I have ever put it into the discount bin…. don’t quote me on that though, there’s the possibility I have.  So if I did… well, you know… I tried, otherwise – yay!

So what else… that’s right, We Luv RP. It opened earlier this month so a  lot less busy right now.  Hopefully you don’t mind a bit of a wait on the post and all though to be honest… with how little I’ve been posting it’s a rather big deal that I’m getting to it. *snorts, snickers and adds a good laugh at the end*Tavern Mistress Gown

Sooo… what was new. A dress! I used to do clothing more often than I do now. I would like to potentially be able to do this sort of thing more often. It’s a different mindset really completely when I work on clothing even if it is just the texturing and it can be relaxing. This is almost a redo sort of thing. A long long time ago I had a dress called the Tavern Wench. This is an updated version done in mesh…. quite close to what was done before really – I couldn’t help it.  It was always a favorite design and well received too. Simple enough but flattering for a variety of scenes.  Nine different color combinations included all in one.

I also went and put up quite a few things I’ve had knocking around or in my inventory.  Things not quite in store inventory yet but have been either in events or done for lil sales things. Some of these would include a line of fencing and gardens that I did earlier this year.

They’re really cool honestly.  Wattle styled fencing.  Woven and looks very interesting. I’ve always liked this look.  It’s great for RP, medieval as well as Viking sorts of builds. There is the fence set itself so you can use it for where ever or whatever you like.  Then there are two gardens.  An herb garden, and a vegetable garden. In the style of my old reclaimed garden that used sculpts this all mesh. A lil prim heavy in some ways but it looks real good and has animations to suit different worker sorts.  Weeding and planting, watering and trimming.  You know I enjoy creating these scene type things. It’s always fun for me to create atmosphere.

Wattle Fence Kit Garden - Herb Garden - Vegetable

Some other things on discount for We luv RP is a camisk in two styles of cloth.  One silky smooth and one a bit more textured with some variations in the fabric. Each with 9 fabric options, 4 leather looks and then 3 different colors for the rope belt around the waist.  Lots of color, lots of options and all neatly done in one package.  I think they’ll do well enough. Compatible with a few of the different bodies out there just like the dress is.

So there is another lil something, a slave display sorta seat thing for the garden… you can go check it out but seriously getting so many pictures on this post I’m feeling a lil heavy so I’m going to leave the one off for now… or should I, I dunno but it just is how it is and I’m going to do it my way. *laughs*

ALL of the items on this post are discounted in one fashion or another.  The docks AT THE MAIN store location for today and tomorrow.

The REST?! ONLY at We luv RP for the month… after that they will be in the store… eventually when I get them rezzed.  So you never really honestly know when that might be.  Discounted prices for all items at We luv RP are between 25 and 50% off!

AND since it is the birthday round for We luv RP there’s a FREE GIFT if you go. So go… what are you waiting for?

Treasure Chest Away!! Toymakers and wood workers.

Avast matey! It be that time again… the Treasure Chest has been released and a months worth of surprises has been revealed for the thrill of the adventure that can be had.  For the landlubber who dare not gamble ye can now be finding out the contents of those magical crates.

toymakers-worksetYes… I went there.

BUT!! I have some pretty cool stuff in there.  I decided as a nod to the time of year and season to create a toy makers set.  Something that I could have around in general it’s and old fashioned sort of thing.  Wood working, creating toys from little blocks of wood and things about. The set itself is cute I think. Has quite a bit to offer in it.

The workbench is of course the focal point. With two vices on it for decoration, chisels along the back and much space on top it it is animated. No poseballs though… as usual… embedded animations with auto attach props for ease of use and all of that. There are two work animations in it… planing wood and hammering so you can toy around with well…. making toys or just woodworking even. Then an assortment for male and female avs. Not too many but a couple so you can sit on the edge of the work table.

After you get to see the bench we have the little clutter pieces to make up the scene.  Three sets of wood planks to lean against the wall… then there is a small little toolbox sitting on top of a fabric roll, and blocks resting around it.  It’s painted red. You know… as an aside, when I was a little girl my grandmother made a little red toolbox that looked almost exactly like that. *nods slightly to this remembering.*

You then also get a small set of blocks set up as if they were just left from being played with… and then a set of crates that are done like shelves. Three crates, one with teddy bears in it and a wooden doll.  Then the bottom two have more blocks and a toy train.  It’s a very sweet set with a bit of ability to do some work too.

Now that the chest is revealed you have to unfortunately pay the 3,000 Lindens to get it but you know… there’s a ton of really good stuff in the chest besides that.  There’s a pair of boots in there that omg… just… yea, you should check it out.  You can either buy it at the treasure chest headquarters OR you can get it at my main store through a special vendor…. Seriously so much awesome in one place!

Have fun and happy weekend.

The Weavers Collection for We Love RP

weavers-collection-rp-setHello hello… as promised the actual business post for this set.

The Weavers role-play set. Another loom for your work related fantasies.

The set consists of a few models. One at 9 LI, and one at 5 if you want to try to shave off a few extra prims. The loom is large! Just like in real life with an imposing structure that you can sit at, weave, or just relax with male and female sits included in the bench.

There’s quite a few pieces that you can accessorize your space with. I have flirted with making other pieces to round out it like like a warping reel and all but this is a good start. Plus too if I don’t get to the other pieces most people would never even know. *laughs*  As you can see from the picture you get the loom… bench which can be kept off by itself and then the shelving. I did decorate one which weighs in around 6 LI but there are empty shelves… then 4 different single spools of thread, two sets of 3 spools as one object.. a messy sort of one askew and then another one that’s in a straight line. After that there is some shuttles. A couple objects piled together, then single ones.  I even threw in the basket of yarn that you can find in the other loom that I made. They all work so well together why not.

It’s funny, I was remarking to someone this week while making all this up that it’s kind of interesting how my sets all sorta work together for the most part.  It can make for a fun way to decorate.

So you get all of these things in one handy dandy set which is a BRAND NEW release for We Love RP.

Take a TAXI!!! to the event!

30% discount for the round so you can get all this for 385L

Have fun and thank you so much.

The Weaver

Good evening, good morning, or whatever it is you are experiencing at this particular moment.

You know when I write these announcements, store things and little blurbs one of the things I hear from people time and time again is that they enjoy them because it just feels like I’m talking to them. Like two old friends sitting down to share a cup of coffee in the morning. Nothing special, but it feels familiar and comfortable even though we really don’t know each other and don’t really converse outside of these little things I ramble on about with you. I approach my store and my life much like this everywhere. I share and give and show people who I am often. It isn’t all just business though that is far too often the case.

Today, sit with me at my table and pour yourself a cup of coffee or hot chocolate if you prefer as I reminisce wrapping your hands around the warm mug so that you can sip, listening quietly as I give into the desire to share with you. Fair warning… writing can be at times part of my healing process, *laughs softly*

This past weekend my grandmother died. She was 86 years old and one hell of a crazy person. A mixture of cruelty and genius depending on what side you knew of her. Right after Thanksgiving we found out she had been in the hospital, and the morning of the 27th we found out she was on a downward spiral and in ICU. It wouldn’t be long we were told, they were just trying to keep her comfortable.

We made plans to go to see her, driving the 3 hours to pick up my mother to take her to the hospital so we could visit even though my grandmother had said to not come.  As we pulled into the parking lot of the hospital around 2 pm I received a text that she had passed. Stunned I blurted it out shocked and then felt something like panic raising not sure what to do and my mother just gasped as I had very unceremoniously announced that my grandmother might be gone already.  Luckily my husband swept in and took charge calmly. We went inside and asked to see her or what room she might be in. The instant look of compassion on all of the nurses at the station cementing what we already had been told they gently asked if anyone had talked to us yet.  She was still in her room and we were allowed to go in. A few family members were there and there was my grandmother in her bed propped up as if she was napping head turned to the side, sheet tucked up close to her shoulders.

Turning back to look at my husband tears gathering I could see the pain in his eyes as he took on some blame for not getting us there sooner telling me more with that look than any words might have expressed I struggled, swallowing trying to get around the lump in my throat as my mother began to cry.  Walking towards the bed I looked down at her wanting to touch her but afraid to. Her hair was almost pure white her face peaceful but for all intent looking as if she might wake any moment. Hesitantly reaching out I touched the side of her face stroking back along her hairline smoothing her hair for a moment my lips quivering… quietly caressing her face.

While the sadness crept in at the loss of this woman whom had meant more to me than I had realized, with all that she had done, and all that she had taught me I whispered softly to her, “Thank you….. thank you for all you did.“ And then finally as my hand moved from her hair to her forearm running from her wrist to her elbow, “I love you.”

Pulling back my hand to rest it upon the rail after a few moments at the side of the bed I looked down at her silently, studying her. Taking in each crevice and wrinkle knowing it would be the last I saw her. Stepping back my mother sitting nearby the priest came to pray over her while I held my mother letting her lean on me as she cried and my husband quietly stepping behind me to rest his hand on my shoulder.  Before we left after sitting a bit my mother unable to stay any longer I had to step back to the bed to reach out a final time afraid to leave just yet… and while sadness was there and is still at times overwhelming me quickly before I realize it whenever I think I will be ok I am so very grateful to have had those moments. There isn’t to be a funeral, or wake. A service at some point but I got to have something I didn’t think I would ever have.  I got to say good bye in one of the most intimate ways I can imagine. No I didn’t get to her before she passed but I got to say thank you, I got to tell her I love her, and I got to get that final memory before she was taken from us.

It made me very reflective on the woman she was and over the past week I have remembered more and more from my life and of her. Reliving things, smiling about them and in some ways settled.

Why have I shared all of this to you? People who barely know me and what does it have to do with my store or the item I made? How trivial it might seem but it isn’t… not to me. If you’ve gotten this far you will know soon enough why.

My grandmother was an amazingly creative woman. She did pottery, glass etching, made jewelry and did leatherworking. The rugs throughout her house were braided by her and her children when they were young. She made her own clothes, adored quilting, loved to arrange flowers, garden, and cook. She was a phenomenal cook and the smells as she actually cooked things on the wood stove were amazing.  She taught me to sew, to crochet, tried to teach me to knit, and all sorts of things.  I learned my love for antiques from her, for finding hidden treasures, and even some of my giving nature.

What you see in my store is very much influenced by things I created, learned or did growing up around my grandparents. From splitting wood, taking care of the farm, to sewing, to…. Weaving.

She had a weaving studio… and these great big floor looms. They were so big and I remember spending time in her studio the fire burning in the stove while I carded wool or spun yarn as she sat at her bench. The shuttle moving back and forth her feet working the pedals beneath. This week I closed my eyes and could hear the loom in my head as I relived those moments and I just had to try to do something. The spools of thread, the shelves, the loom…. Something in me needed to do make it and as I worked the model and it came to life I could feel the catch in my throat.

I had intended on releasing something different and I still will but this round… I wanted to do something for my grandmother. So while I know it is only a model in a 3d world and one that needs some tweaking and fixes even, *laughs* I wanted to share it with you for a few moments.

Thank you for reminiscing with me, for sharing with me and I’ll do a normal store blurb in a different post because not everyone wants to read my lengthy stories but if you have, sincerely thank you. I hope you are well and remember those small moments, they really are the ones that matter the most.
